All donations will go to the purchase of Preliminary Breath Test Devices (PBTs) for the Pennsylvania State Police and other law enforcement agencies throughout the Commonwealth.
PBT devices provide an estimate of blood alcohol concentration and are an essential tool used in the detection and removal of impaired drivers. The PBT unit can also enable the officer to rule out alcohol as the cause of impairment and determine drugs as a possible cause. The PBT should be a standard tool for each officer; instead there are stations that have none, share one, or have a few shared among many officers. To date, the Trooper Iwaniec Memorial Foundation has donated 1,972 PBTs throughout the Commonwealth.
The Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization as designated by the Internal Revenue Code. We appreciate your support.
